Thank You!

Thank you for helping RU12? raise over $1,100 in our 180 Minute Challenge to End Hate!

We are proud of our community and how we responded individually and collectively to the visit of Fred Phelp's hate group, the Westboro Baptist Church.

Here's what you had to say about RU12?'s efforts to turn hate into support for Vermont's LGBTQ community:

With hope in our hearts we had to make this donation today of all days. Hate NEVER wins! - Jane and Sharon

In solidarity - LuAnn Rolley

This is in memory of Matthew Shepard, killed by the kind of hate that the Westboro church people espouse. - Stephen McArthur

Not in VT Phred - Donal Dugan

This is the best possible response to these horrible invaders. I wish I could give you a million dollars a minute! - Elizabeth Allen-Pennebaker

There no room on the planet for hate. - Carol Heffer

Awesome way to respond to this ridiculous display of carpet-bagging hatred in our lovely State. - Amy Werbel

Vermont has no room for hate. Thank you RU12. - Siobhan Donegan

I love the idea of turning Fred's hateful visit into a positive. I hope RU12? shares this idea with other LGBT advocacy groups nationwide. - Duncan Adamson

Thanks RU12? for organizing Vermont's demonstration of support for loving relationships and equality for all. Hate is not a family value. - Rhonda Factor

The best argument for tolerance and love is you guys, standing up as witnesses! Godspeed! - Rick & Nancy Mason HAUSER

I'm glad I can put some of this hate to better use. Thanks for all the great work! - H. Mason

We don't like hate either! Thanks RU12? for helping make a difference! - The Ostby Family

Thank you for helping us end hate and build community everyday!

It's great that you got such a response. It'll take a lot more than 180 minutes though for us to get to the stage where hatred for being different, be it lesbian, gay, black, whatever, is a thing of the past.

We can increase education and awareness but how do you renew a person's mind?
